"Fashion is not something that exists in dresses only. Fashion is in the sky, in the street, fashion has to do with ideas, the way we live, what is happening." These words were spoken by the late fashion icon Coco Chanel. Fashion is not just clothing, it is a form of self expression and to me can be considered an art. When a woman is wearing something she feels beautiful in, she radiates confidence. However, when one is not so comfortable in an ensemble, it shows. I have seen it personally first hand. When I was at the clothing boutique and was working with a client, I could see how she felt the minute she walked out of the fitting room. Why try to wear something that doesn't flatter your figure? Dress for your life style, personality, and budget.

As mentioned prior, dressing is an art of self expression and can be a balancing act. The outfit pictured is pretty much a uniform for me since I adore wearing skirts and hate wearing pants but it showcases the balance. Notice the skirt is full of volume and the tank is fitted to my body. This is a balanced look. This little trick can work vice versa with a fitted bottom like a legging or straight pant paired with a flowing tunic. Apparel is typically broken up into tops and bottoms, the concept is that if you are carrying volume in one area typically you should balance it with a narrow more fitted companion. This is a tip I use frequently when dressing myself. It gives an hourglass look and ensures that it doesn't look like your swimming in clothing.

Now there are always exceptions to tips and tricks, I have seen women pull of full fabulous looks. This is just a general helpful tip that I use. Try it for yourself, experiment and have fun! Don't forget to always stay true to yourself and dress to flatter your beautiful and unique figure. Be you, be fabulous!

Well my friends till next time. Stay sassy xo
