An Exclusive Insider Tip to Transitioning into Spring

Florals? For Spring? Groundbreaking! This quote from The Devil Wears Prada literally gets me every year. I mean for months we are hidden behind sweaters & flannels that the second “spring” hits we want to break out our favorite floral dress & twirl around in it! As you may know I am located in Massachusetts (tax-achusetts, home of the Tom Brady/Bill empire, sorry). This state is beautiful but can also be a frigid, cold hearted, bipolar son of a gun. Technically, it is spring here & we have certainly had a couple of warm teaser days. But, in the same month/week/day it can go from 60 degrees to 30. For the love of linen, let me wear open toe shoes, bare legs, & a fun dress!

Personally, I have been forcing spring in an effort to summon the sunshine. At the same time I don’t want to look like a weirdo freak (picture the equivalent to going outside in your bathing suit in a snowstorm). So, my exclusive insider tip?

Spring Pieces + Fall Styles = Transitional Fashion

Meaning, you take a spring item like this dress. Then layer it with a bomber jacket (or something else cardi, etc) & complete the look with a bootie for a little foot coverage. Now, you are able to rock your favorite spring dress while looking like you actually checked the weather when you got up this morning.

When the weather actually heats up shed that 2nd layer & break out the wedges! I hope this post helps you get to thinking outside the box so you can start wearing some of your spring items sooner! This dress AND the bomber jacket are from Sloane & Ivy a boutique that celebrates women. So check them out :)

Anyway, talk soon!
