Hello, babes! I hope you are enjoying the summer as much as you can given the pandemic circumstances. Summer is my absolute favorite season. I live a 5 minute drive away from the closest beach so, that is where you can find me most weekends. That means I’m in a swimsuit at least 1-3 times a week. (EEK!) To be honest, I used to be so scared of wearing a bathing suit. Whether it be the negative self talk in my younger years or dealing with the yo-yoing in weight due to when my ulcerative colitis was super bad. I think most woman feel negative towards their body at some point in their lives. However, I have gotten to the point of loving my body where it is at & focusing on how I feel opposed to the number on the scale.
Here at Fashology we truly celebrate you for YOU! What does that mean? Everyone is beautiful & unique in their own way. Every body type, skin tone, hair color, ethnicity, sex, & more makes you who you are & we encourage you to embrace YOU! With that being said since we all don’t look a like & aren’t cookie cutter human beings, what looks good on you may not look good on me. Wear what makes you feel like the best version of you! I have personally been living by the below practices to help me embrace self-love this swimsuit season:
Rock a swimsuit you fell confident in. (I linked 2 I got from aerie this year)
Avoid comparing yourself to others. As we all know comparison is the their of joy.
Express gratitude to your body.
Practice affirmations. Wake up & be your own hype man in the morning.
These are just a couple ways to practice self-love this swimsuit season (& beyond). Honestly, these tips have helped me be more confident in a bathing suit during the summer. I mean I still may have a day once in a while that I don’t feel like a million bucks typically around that time of month but, those are the days when I opt in for a high waisted bathing suit. You are beautiful the way you are sister! Go on with your bad self & enjoy the rest of your summer with confidence!
