Hello, beauties! Two posts two days in a row, wowzer! One of my goals is to be more consistent & scheduled with my posting in 2019. So far I’m thinking Mondays will be for lifestyle, Wednesdays a brief video, Friday continue the fashion posts! I need to get my planning & preparation in line to create awesome useful content for you! Let me know what some of your New Year’s goals are!
Anyway I have called you all here today to discuss how to pull off a sequin skirt. When one thinks of a sequin skirt they may think to their earlier clubbing days or when you first turned 21 trying to navigate through what to wear to a dive bar. Well friends you CAN pull off a sequin skirt in your adult life & not look like you are dressing “too young”.
Opt for a midi length- I think a midi length pencil silhouette sequin skirt is sharp. The midi length also helps elongate your figure.
Tights! - for the love of linen it is December & most places on this earth are freezing. Tights help add a level of chic to a look while keeping your legs warm.
Add a jacket - I have paired mine with a bomber jacket but a blazer or leather jacket could definitely work as well. A jacket always elevates a look & looks put together.
I completed this ensemble with a statement necklace, kitten heels, a graphic tee, & clutch. This New Year’s Eve you will find me hosting a small group of friends. We will be playing games, cooking, & enjoying each other’s company. We like to dress up for fun :)
Feel free to try elevating a sequin skirt for yourself!
I just want to thank you all from the bottom of my heart for making 2018 a record breaking year! All of our events were successful, we broke 5K followers on Instagram, & had a ton of views on the website. You have all genuinely helped build a community that women can come to for real fashion advice. Although 2018 was a little tough on me personally I’m looking forward to putting it in the past & moving onward. 2018 has taught me SO many things both blessings & lessons. I have such an amazing feeling about 2019 & I hope you do too! Talk to you in the New Year!
