Hello, beautiful! I hope your week is going well. Last week I had the pleasure of meeting with Sarah Motzkin of Busy Bostonians. We chatted about her business over croissants & lattes at Tatte Bakery on Boylston. Busy Bostonians focuses on 3 areas: personal assistance, event planning, & bridal. Sarah has been growing her bridal business, her services are perfect for a bride-to-be that needs assistance between a event coordinator & herself. Sarah can help book appointments, put thank you cards in the mail, get gift baskets together, or even research vendors for you!
Sarah is a Chicago native with background including a degree in retail management from Bradley University. Prior to starting her own business she worked at Target & American Girl where she focused on business operations, management, & human resources. After having her first child (she now has 2 little munchkins) in 2013 she realized she didn't want her kids in daycare & wanted to build a business of her own separate from her husband's business.
Motzkin established her business in 2015 channeling her love of organization & planning. This past holiday season she put 60 gift baskets together personally delivering half for a client. More recently as mentioned prior she has branched out into bridal. Sarah loved planning her wedding so much that she wanted to help other brides. She helped me get my friend's bridal shower invites mailed. Sarah picked up stamps, stamped the envelopes, stuffed, sealed, & dropped them in the mail. This was a HUGE help. We are all so busy & these little tasks really take time but Sarah is here to help! Her most popular bridal service is writing & sending thank you cards. Sarah's advice to brides is not to sweat the small stuff. Enjoy the planning process & ask for help when you need it.
This wouldn't be a fashion based blog if we didn't ask her about her personal style. Sarah considers her style classic & trendy. She does love fashion & enjoys rocking a great blazer with heels.
As a busy Bostonian herself, Sarah stays organized with planners & writing everything down. She saves time by future planning, consolidating tasks like if she has to make a return at Target for 2 clients she goes at one time, & looks at her clients needs based on the day/week. I loved this tip, she always goes to bed with the dish washer, washer, & dryer going so things are getting done even while she is sleeping. Motzkin's tip to entrepreneurs is to believe in yourself & stick through it even when it gets tough.
Well dolls I hope you enjoyed learning about Busy Bostonian & the woman behind it. I really wish I knew of Sarah's services when I was planning my wedding. You can find her website here . Till next time dolls!
