Hello, beautiful! Is it feeling like spring has sprung where you are? It definitely hasn't here in MA. Literally there is still snow on the ground & we got our third or forth nor'easter in a row this past week, I can't even keep track anymore. If you've been following along you know that I have been itching to break out my spring wardrobe. It's even more difficult when you purchase spring clothing at this time & have to wait to wear it. This actually happened to me recently.
I bought this super cute dress from J.Jill, it was a part of our March floorset which is technically "spring". To be honest just the thought of wearing bare legs & 3/4 sleeves right now makes me cold. Fear not babe! Wear your new spring purchases now by styling it to be weather appropriate! I took this dress, added tights, suede booties, & my favorite bomber jacket. Ta-da ready to wear now! The last image here demonstrates how I would wear this piece for spring (note how pale my legs are).
This photo shoot was a toughy, it was maybe like 30 degrees outside. But sometimes you just have to do it for the blog! This time of year can be difficult because you want to buy some spring items but at the same time you won't wear them right away but you also don't want to not buy them & miss out on all the cute items. Take your new spring buys & make them work now through styling & enjoy them later (this will also bring down your cost per wear). I hope that you have found this post helpful & inspiring. Praying that it warms up soon!
