Next on Scene's 2nd Annual Spring Fashion Show

Hello, lovely! Last week I had the pleasure of covering Next on Scene's 2nd Annual Fashion Show. It was a fabulous night to come in from the cold to be defrosted by the hot spring trends. The event was at Venu Night Club, I brought my sister as my plus one & enjoyed the show sitting next to some fabulous blogger babes. One of the things that they did this year was have women entrepreneurs model. Personally, I found this absolutely inspiring.

Sam Robbins opened the show. He is a student at Berkley, this was his first time performing at a fashion show & he nailed it. He was definitely the calm before the fashion. Not only is he talented but had the audience laughing!

After Sam's performance the show got straight down to business with it's first out of 5 designers, Vo Stewart Baxter. The designer is originally from Mexico & her designs definitely show cased some spice! This line was fierce featuring a lot of leather, lace, flames, & sheer items. It celebrated a women's sexiness.

Followed was Cheresse Denise Styles. Her line was super cute, the collection exuded femininity with silks. It featured  a lot of elegant pieces & some playful ones. This bomber jacket was one of my favorite items from this collection. A couple other stand out looks was a fabulous pink dress with an asymmetric ruffle & an all white look with a gold belt.

Joocy AF was next up on the runway. This was an athletic line featuring inspiring tees for men & women. The male models had some fun striking poses.

After we broke for a quick intermission the show began again with, Chic Boutique. This line featured some sequins, florals, & ruffles. The dress below was one of my favorite items from this line along with this show stopping yellow jumpsuit.

Closing the show was my favorite designer, Lalla Bee. I could be a little biased because we worked on a photo shoot together last year. It's more likely the fact that Melina (the designer) has such incredible skills designing such beautiful pieces. They are literally works of art. Modeling below is Andy of Elite Workshop also a mompreneur herself. This line features elegant dresses that feature fabulous florals inspiring women.

Jackie, owner & founder of Next on Scene slayed as the MC this year along with DJ JuLee spinning tunes. The night was just full of women empowerment. Cocktail hour bites were provided by Oh Jolie Catering. Your Love in Lights also provided the "NEXT" lights. Jewels were sponsored by the fabulous Tesoro Boston & Jaclyn's Gems.  Jamie Cholaki was the jack of all trades doing hair & stepping up for red carpet interviews. Creative Contour by Carla did a fabulous job on the models make up! It literally takes a village to put on such a wonderful event.

It was a night of fun & fashion! I was loving the theme of women empowerment this year. To me it is so amazing seeing women come together to produce such magic. I hope to see you there next year!
