Top Recommended Wardrobe Staple

Hello, lovelies! I hope you have had a great week! I am still on cloud 9 from the event I hosted last night at Best Dressed in Boston. Today I am working my day job then headed to NC for a blogger conference which I am over the moon about attending. Through blogging not only have I been able to help women by producing relate-able & applicable fashion advice but I have meet so many wonderful, supportive, & encouraging women along the way which I am eternally grateful for. #girlpower  Anyway I'll get back to the program.

LDB=Little Black Dress

The little black dress is a wardrobe staple. To me there is an art of dressing up or dressing down your LBD. I have a couple different ones in my wardrobe that do a couple different things. This in particular dress is from Femme Boutique Boston & is definitely a spring/summer go to. I would dress it up as pictured with nude heeled sandals, a red lip, & this fabulous bag for date night with the hubby, which typically includes dinner on the water. I would also dress it down for summer adventures on the cape or Martha's Vineyard by wearing white chuck tayols & a baseball cap depending on what my hair decides to do that day. No adventuring look is complete without a cross-body bag.

I have another LBD in particular in my closet that is better dressed up for business. I add pumps & a blazer making it office ready. The same dress I have I'll exchange the blazer for a denim jacket & the pumps for sneakers whether they be my Converse chuck taylors or Adidas shell toes. I would recommend having at least two LBD's in your closet one that can be dressed up for date night & the other for business but both can be dressed down for the weekend. The LBD is an item worth investing in that will last & you will get your use out of. Not only can you wear your dressed up LBD to date night or the office but other functions as well showers, graduations, etc.

If you don't already have a little black dress I highly recommend getting one that fits your style. Well dolls, I'm off! Enjoy the rest of your weekend. I'm looking forward to coming back from this conference recharged & ready to deliver you some amazing & helpful content.
