How to Look Chic on the 4th of July

Hello, beautiful! I hope all is well. This week  was kind of rough for me. With big meetings at work & myself trying to process my grandfather's health condition I felt like I was barely keeping myself together. Life isn't always a walk in the park no matter how much social media makes it out to be. You just have to chin up & move on. But anyway it's Friday & we made it!

When you think of the 4th of July a couple things probably come to mind parades, old navy t-shirts (especially if you identify as a 90's kid), cookouts, etc. Personally, I'm not one to purchase an item specifically for one event & never wear it again like said Old Navy Tee. Sure, I like to wear red, white, & blue to show my patriotism but I prefer to do it in a less obvious way. Are you with me?!

This dress I got at Target for my friend's bridal shower back in April. As you can see it has blue & white stripes. To add a pop of red I would wear a red lip and or paint my nails red (I couldn't find my red lip for this shoot nor did I have time to paint my nails #bloggerproblems). To look more chic for the forth I would recommend wearing something blue & white the color combo for prints is everywhere this time of year & add a pop of red as I had suggested with your lip, nails, or accessories. It is a very subtle way to show your American pride. I have also seen American flag scarves which you can tie on your bag.

There is nothing wrong with wearing a big American flag t-shirt on the 4th of July if that tickles your fancy. If you also get stuck on what to wear because you are like me & think about how many times you will actually wear something I hope this helped inspire you.

Before I close this out I wanted to share with you the project I launched on Monday. An iFundWomen campaign! The goal of this is to try to level up Fashology. I am trying to raise funds to update my equipment because it is very old & makes doing anything website related forever. I am also working towards becoming an LLC & launching an online boutique. As many of you know my mission is to empower women one closet at a time but I can't do it without YOU! If you can & would like to make your contribution here

Well fash dolls thats all I got! Enjoy the weekend!
