Palm Prints & Why you Need One

Hello, beautiful! I hope you had an amazing week! If you read last week I spoke briefly how I was in a weird funk. Well I have been consciously living intentionally all week & feel a heck of a lot better. I would highly recommend changing your mindset like this to anyone in a rut. I also wanted to let you know that this coming Monday 6/18 I am launching something HUGE! I will most definitely need your help but I'm super nervous & this is completely out of my comfort zone. Stay tuned! Anyway let's get to the fashion, shall we?

Not sure if you have noticed but I am OBSESSED with palm prints. My bathing suit top from last week was palm print, along with my bible I had the cover rebound & painted with palm print, my instagram story covers etc. I just really love them. I believe for this season it is the pattern that you need in your wardrobe. Polka dots, animal print, stripes, & florals are fun but you probably already have those hanging in your closet. The palm print is tropical & reminds you of the islands making it perfect for summer! Plus there are so many variations of the palm print you will easily be able to find one suitable for you. I bought this one from Macy's last year. I brought it to our trip to Aruba this past September & am so excited to wear it this summer.

I'm also going to break down the romper & some hacks for you! The romper it is super cute but makes going to the bathroom a slight hassle. Literally sitting half naked in a bathroom stall would make a girl feel a little uncomfortable (anyone with me?!). Regardless of this outfit obstacle the romper is an instant outfit making getting ready easier. This romper specifically has a back zip with a hook & eye closure. One would think that this is hard as fudge to get on & off especially by yourself. Well fash doll, you can do it! I kind of twist the back of the romper to the front before putting my arms through the sleeves to clasp the hook & eye. Then twist it back in place & put my arms through the arm holes zipping to the absolute farthest I can go from zipping below. Once I get it to the farthest I can from that angle I bring my arm over top like I'm doing some sort of stretch, grab the zipper, & I am ready to go out into the world again fully dressed! This also works for dresses :)

One last thing I just felt I needed to share today is how I avoid chafing. I have something I like to call mermaid thighs. I have thick legs I have been an athlete my entire life my legs are strong so I am not blessed with the graces of a thigh gap. So my legs rub together which can create chaffing or what myself & my family like to call "chub rub" which is a pain in the tush, painful, & makes wearing shorts suck. (Are my thick leg sisters with me?!) My solution is to roll some deodorant on each of my inner thighs, chub rub be gone! This hasn't failed me yet.

Well fash dolls I hope from this post you were inspired to get a palm print piece, encouraged to zip up the back of your dress or romper by yourself, & hoping my tip to avoid chafing will help you too! It was an action packed post! I hope you have an amazing weekend! My best friend is getting married tomorrow (yay!) & I'm maid of honor!!!! So exciting! Don't forget to tune in Monday for the launch of my secret project!! Talk soon lovelies!
