Ready to Wear, What you have to Know and Why

Hello, beautiful! We made it to Friday! Let's get real for a second, shall we? As you may or may not know I take photos about every two weeks with a photographer. We take a batch of outfit pictures so I can serve you up some fresh fashion advice. Well this was my second look we shot that day. Walking to meet my photographer & intern I literally tripped & fell right on my knees ruining my pedicure haha! The worst part, it was in-front of a restaurant with a full outdoor patio packed with people & not one person asked if I was okay. Me, embracing the mess that I am literally just got up & laughed it off. Life isn't perfect but your outfit certainly can be!

Anyway enough of my sob story. I want to talk about Ready to Wear with you or commonly known in the fashion industry as RTW. It is a very literal term meaning ready to wear as in through on & go. This is anything that your purchase for yourself, unless you are purchasing some fancy couture gown. I learned early on that the term ready to wear really means "almost" ready to wear. When you purchase something, if you are anything like me chances are you want to wear it right away. Well as you have heard me mention a million & five times now not every brand or line is created equally. Each measurement for said brand or line is different. We are all beautiful & unique but each garment fits us differently. My advice to you, find a good tailor. You pay good money for your clothes they should fit you properly. When your clothing fits you properly that makes you feel confident which will exude in the way you carry yourself.

Take this jumpsuit for example, I have not had it altered yet. I was hesitant on this jumpsuit & contemplated returning it. But with a few quick alterations this will be fitting like a dream. With the right undergarments & a little tweak to fit to your body can make a HUGE difference.

I will be bringing this jumpsuit to Portugal for vacation. It will be perfect as a beach cover up to dinner.

If you love something, you don't have to let it go. Just take it to your tailor & get it personally fitted to your unique body. Girlfriend, you are as beautiful as Cinderella. Never forget that. Well babes, I hope you found this helpful. I will be taking this jumpsuit to my tailor to properly fit! Till next time!
