Discovering the Power of your Fashion Personality

Hello, beauty! Happy Friday! We made it through the week (insert happy dance). This weekend I'm hoping to get some much needed beach time. I will be announcing the details about our 4th Blogiversary celebration soon! In the meantime save the date, Saturday October 6th starting at 4:00pm. Anyway let's get to the fashion!

I was once asked on a job interview, "Where do you shop?". My response was that I don't shop one place particular, I can really find at least one item of clothing anywhere & make it my own. If you have been following me you know that I work in the fashion industry currently at J.Jill on their merchandising team for the collection Pure Jill. The common conception of J.Jill is that the customer skus more towards the older side 60> which is an accurate statement. But, I am not a 60-something & in this outfit I have managed to work in TWO J.Jill items! I am rocking this Pure Jill Pintuck Blouse (wearing a size small) & the Kara Slingback Flats (in camel size 8.5).

One of my very first posts when I begun Fashology I touched on different fashion personalities: classic, sporty, dramatic, natural, & feminine. Your fashion personality is determined by your lifestyle, the statement you want to make, & your actual personality. You don't have to limit yourself to just one personality, I'm a mix between dramatic, classic, & feminine which is exactly how I styled this look. The jean shorts & camo jacket are dramatic, the flats are feminine, & the top is a classic item. This outfit is defiantly for the weekend & a great transitional look between seasons.

The golden nugget I want you to take away from this post is that you can find a singular item at any store & truly make it your own style based on your fashion personality. You do not need to limit yourself to certain stores because you think they are too young or too old. I totally get it if you shop at specific stores because you like the way they fit but for the love of linen, get out there! Try new things! The possibilities are endless.

Well babes, I hope you enjoyed this post & that you are feeling inspired to try new things. Soak up the last few weeks of summer! Till next time.
